Harvest Moon

We got out to see the Harvest Moon last night with the kids. How amazing to see this glowing ball of light rise up through the clouds in the dark sky. To connect to the cycles of the sun and moon we took the kids to the beach to watch the sun set last night. Then as the time came for the moon to rise we sat on our front steps and looked up at the sky.

This beautiful moon has a lot of tradition and symbolism attached to it. If you would like to read more about it the website EarthSky has some great info on it.
